Rodney Barbour will perform on the 5-manual Rodgers Masterpiece organ at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The organ is interfaced with 12 ranks of pipes including a Festival Trumpet that plays from the rear of the nave. St. John the Baptist is a congregation of 3,000 families led by Father Micael Skluzacek. Mass is celebrated four times each weekend. The first organ in the 1,200-seat nave was a Tellers pipe organ installed in 1968. It was replaced by a 3-manual Rodgers 960 in 1994. In 2009, the church installed the 5-manual Rodgers with Charles Handrickson pipes. In addition, the church selected a Rodgers Model 568 for its chapel instrument. The music program includes an adult choir, schola, children's choir, contemporary ensemble and a five-octave handbell choir. Jay Hunstiger is Director of Music and Liturgy.
