Dear Jim,
As you see, I am sending a copy of this
message to Barbara Gensmer. (I hope I have her email address
correct.) I will write her a note also to thank her and Rodgers
Organ Company for sponsoring such an event as was held Saturday
at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage. It was a very
stimulating and exciting event.
I want to thank you personally Jim for the
excellent job you did with your presentation. You are so
knowledgeable and what a resource person you are. Your
presentation was sensitive to novices as well as more advanced
and accomplished organists. You spent time in all areas of
interest. I could see how some of those people were so turned on
by some of the things you were sharing ... and were anxious to
get back to try many new things.
It was so much fun to spend time with you
when you came back to present and demonstrate the organ during
and after a church service in August. You did such a great job of
presenting the organ. One of the guys who had been holding out on
his dream for a Pipe Organ someday was completely converted by
you. He is now so excited also about the organ. Remember, I told
you one of the ladies who had come up to listen to you after
church instead of going down stairs for the fellowship said (whispered)
"Oh, this is better than coffee". Quite a compliment.
I of course couldn't begin to absorb all
that you presented Saturday but I am now looking to forward more
than ever to the "lesson" when you come to voice the
organ when it is installed.
You are such an energetic and enthusiastic
man to work with. I am so thankful to have met you.
Yours truly,
M. C., Pine
